Future Plans


Development of Sansthan building
  1. Current building of the Sansthan, which is currently housing mainly the Library and Conference room is insufficient for conduct of Sansthan’s various activities. Hence, further development of the Sansthan building is required urgently.
    1. First floor : It is proposed to develop a hall of size 63’x31’ to house Library, Reading room, Archive, and Store room. With this some essential utilities and couple of office chambers will be constructed.
    2. Second floor : Accomodation for Research Scholars, Guest House, Lobbby, and a Hall of 32’x37’ housing basic facilities with Computers, Photocopier, Microfilm and Projectors.
Instruments for equipping the Library
  • It is necessary to equip the Library with modern equipment and carry out purchase of necessary books. This will enable research scholars with all required research material. Provision of budget of Rs 1L/year for Library equipment and books is proposed.
  • Employing Modern IT enables technology and Publishing : This work has become necessary. It is proposed that two modern computers and laser printers be established in Sansthan to enable researchers with modern facilities. Looking at Scientific and mathematical form of the Jain philosophy these facilities with enable discovery of several new possibilities/conclusions/achievements.
Equipment for the Conference room
  • To run the conferences and Lectures systematically and smoothly Sansthan requires following equipment :
  1. Microfone and Speakers,
  2. Amplifier cum recorder,
  3. Slide/Overhead projector
  4. 100 chairs for the conference hall

Above is estimated to cost nearly Rs 1 Lac

Others
  • Sansthan is endeavouring to acquire modern equipment and facilities for the preservation of manuscripts of the scriptures. This is estimated to cost nearly Rs 1 Lacs.
  • Printing of unavailable books and publishing of English translation of Digambar Jain ‘Agam’s : Several books published by Sanstahan are not available (out of stock) for quite some time and their printing is now urgent. Estimated cost of printing of 1000 copies of each book is Rs 150000/- per book. There are nearly 20 books which are unavailable currently. Further an expense of Rs 2L/year is estimated for the program of ‘English translation of Daigambar Jain Agams’ by Sansthan.
  • Scholarships to Research scholars : It is important and essential to give enough scholarship to the researchers, therefore rs 2 L/year for two researchers. In addition every year addition of one scholar every year should also be done making the total estamted expense to be Rs 3L/year
  • Publishing Research Magazine : Currently, Sanstahn is publishing a news pater in the name of ‘Sansthan Samachar’. There is a provision for the publishing of a modern research magazine for the benefit of research students, investigatiors, and curious souls. This magazine shall present; in addition to Jain philosophy and culture, Vaidik, Buddhist, and special research carried out by global philosopers/scholars in reference to Jain philosophy. Besides, research and publication of Prakrit and Apbhransh literature shall be carried in this magazine. This will serve the objective of Prakrit can get its place through other languages and original texts of Prakrit can be included in the research being carried out. Publication of this magazine is estimated to cost Rs 1l/year.
  • Achary Kundkund and Prakrit Language Lecture series : With motivation given by Rashtr Sant Acary Vidyasagarji Maharaj, it has been appealed to celebrate the ‘Prakrit diwas’ on ‘Shrut Pachmi’. Accordingly, it is provisioned to organize a conference on subject of ‘Achary Kundkund and Prakrit bhasha’ and  ‘Shrut Panchami’ which incidentally also happens to be the founding day of Sansthan. This will help establish the wide utility and possible standards in the development of Acharya Kundkund and Shaurseni Prakrit, under guidance of illustrious scholars. This will require estimated expense of Rs 1L/year.
  • It is a necessity to appoint a Director and a seputy director in Sansthan. Currently this work is being handled on honorary basis by Prof Dr Kamlesh Kumar Jain and Prof Dr Ashok Kumar Jain. However, sansthan requires a full time director and deputy director for achieving its full potential. Estimated expense of Rs 12L/year is estimated for this. A fund of Rs 1crore of required as reserve for this purpose.
Center for Prakrit studies and research center

With blessings of ‘Param Pujya Mahaswami Charukirti Bhattarak’, and under the direction of respected Prof Jay kumar Upadhye it is decided to establish Prakrit adhyayan evam shodh Kendra (Center for Prakrit studies and research) under the Rashtriy Prakrit adhyayan evam shodh sansthan (Nationl Institute of Prakrit studies and research). This work is proposed on highest priority. This center will award Certificates, Diploma, Prathama, Madhyama, Visharad and Prakrit ratn, and PhD shall be awarded from Mysore University.
